Leader of the pack.

My running group has come together. Our first group run will be on the 14th and I am very EXCITED about the whole thing! The group is a nice mix of friends, acquaintances and others whom I have never met. I can't wait to share my love of running with them and help them cross the finish line at the 5k on June 5th! It is going to be so much fun.

And now that the Olympics are over, I can actually get back to a normal bedtime schedule and stop staying up so late. This should help me pick my running back up, which really slacked off after the marathon relay (a combination of my body needing a break and my complete inability to turn off the Olympics telecast before it finished for the day, I'm sure). I definitely need to pick up the pace if I'm going to start leading a group of new runners! Well, since last week's mileage was so low (and I mean lo-o-o-o-w) I have nowhere to go but up! That's a good way to start the week, right?

Have a great day, everyone. Don't forget: Today's the last day to enter the Eggland's Best giveaway here. Good luck!

Running groups are essential for those long runs. Maybe I should get a group together.

A low mileage week is not so bad once in a while! Now you'll be refreshed for some great miles this week!

Great news that your running group is starting up in a couple weeks!

Having a group to run with is the best. You will be so glad you did this--and so will the others.

Leading a group of runners. Wow. You should be very proud of yourself and that accomplishment. I wish you the best with that adventure.

I have to say, much as I missed my sleep, I'm sad that the olympics is over. What a fun couple weeks!

Olympic games are over... I hoped that was not true. One more excuse for procrastination gone.
Can't wait to hear more about your running group.
