On Saturday, I ran . . .
- 5 miles away from the stuffy head that threatened to explode into a full-blown cold;
- 5 miles away from the fritzy computer that makes me want to kick it around the yard, Office space style;
- 5 miles away from the afternoon pregnancy fatigue that really needs to go away already;
- 5 miles away from the blahs;
- 5 miles away from that annoying voice that says, "You can't do it";
- 5 miles away from responsibilities and to-do lists;
- 5 miles toward a better me.
Have a great week!

Yeah! Running 5 miles away from all that stuff sounds like the best thing you could have done!
5 miles sounds like the perfect escape! :) I'm sitting in an airport waiting to catch a flight home; just ran the Atlanta ING 1/2 so that's what I ran this weekend :). Always nice to run away...but nice to return home!
I was humbled by the marathon distance this weekend...glad your 5 miles took you where you needed to be!
I ran 5.5 Miles on Saturday. It took me to a place where the World stopped spinning out of control due to sleep deprivation. It made me appreciate my BF (who happens to be my running partner) significantly more.
What a nice way to look at it.
I ran "away" from some family issues this weekend. I decided I'd run off the stress rather than eating my feelings.
Awesome post. I love it!
You really need that 5 miles. I hope you feel better after that.
I ran 8 miles at a comfortable pace and I enjoyed all of it. Part of the route was new (going down the Square and Main Street in this little bitty town I live) was quite fun - the sidewalks were flat and good.
Happy Monday!! Congrats on the baby news!! I missed that while I was out last week!! Great job on your 5miles!
Great post!
I ran my first 5 mile race this weekend!
I had an awesome first training run for the Mountain goat, the hills weren't as bad as I thought they were going to be!
Office Space = best movie ever.

Love this post...sums it up so well! I had a great 14-miler with friends on Saturday and then did 8 on Sunday. Set the tone for a great weekend!
Great race in NH on Sat. and at home on Sunday a good run.
Thanks for the post! I still need to get my butt out and run my 5 miles today. You make me want to get out and get it done.
this is a fun (and unique!) post style. i like it :) i didn't do much running this weekend (stupid vertigo!) but i was able to get out and enjoy the sunshine at least!
Sounds like good things to run away from! :)
I ran at Saratoga Park. No more snow and the gates were open (no fees yet!).
Understandably your article helped me very much in my college assignment. Hats off to you dispatch, choice look ahead for the duration of more related articles promptly as its one of my choice issue to read.
I ran hills and then ran away from them! I haven't done hill repeats in so long and it was tough!!
I didn't run, but I did walk away from a lot of things! lol. I walked away from the frustration of having "alert" dogs that bark at every noise at the hubby's apartment complex, my stress and anxiety over school, and my worries about the future. :)
Great job!
I ran 9 glorious miles...jogged 2....shuffle-hobbled 1 for a grand total of 12.
In the swamps of South Carolina. It was glorious.
That's such a great way to think of a 5-mile run. I ran 11 miles around our nation's history--washington monument, lincoln memorial...It was pretty cool.
Running away is great isn't! Fun post.
5 miles is just such a nice number. Long enough to feel like you did something, but not too far that you can't cram it into your day.
Love this post! Right now I want to run far away from a lot of things....
Nice 5 miles!
I am just going through your previous posts...CONGRATULATIONS! That is wonderful news.
I love this...what a great post and way to look at things.
