Too slow.

I didn't do it.

Crossed the line in 23:47, almost a minute slower than I had hoped. Bummed.

Chin up, right? Yup, chin up. And with that chin back in its upward position, I'll take a look at what happened, see what I can learn from this race, and then get started training for the next one.

And I'll write a full race report for your reading pleasure. So, look for that!

Great try. There is always a do-over, another race. 23:47 is still crazy fast.

That's still mighty fast. And 5 mins faster than my 5KPR from 2 yrs ago - I don't think that time qualifies as "too slow" - maybe just "not as fast as hoped" :-)

I know what you are feeling wanting to get that PR. Maybe after seeing the foot doctor, your training and racing will be better with less pain in your foot?? Hope you still have a good rest of the weekend!

It took me close to 3 mins before I crossed the start line but my time doesnt reflect that which has me really bummed. Whats the point of being chip timed if the results dont show the time when you actually started!

That is an AMAZING time!!!! I was 10 mins after you LOL.

still an impressive time! Like you said, take a look back, see what went wrong, and move forward from here. Have a great weekend!

I completely understand the disappointment, but I'm going to congratulate you anyway. You finished. You gutted it out. You earned it :)

Now, onto your birthday celebration!

Thats still a fast time but I understand your dissappoint when you have a specific goal. Try another 5K soon, this race will boost your lactate threshold, so I bet you'll be able to run faster in a week or two.

I agree with Marci, still fast, but it's hard when you don't meet your own goal... i'm sure you will though. Enjoy the rest of the weekend and happy birthday.

I'm sorry you didn't meet your goal this time.

Still... Congratulations! You can be proud of your finishing time.

Happy Birthday!

Sorry you didn't quite make it, Felice. That's pretty much exaxtly the time I got when I was gunning for a 23:00 last month. Ugh.

I know how it feels, but that is still a kick ass time.

Still a very speedy time, Felice, but I know what you mean about wanting something more. The fact that you do want more? Is what makes you an awesome runner.

There are more races in your future. You'll be there. I'm sure of it.

Ooh, and hey, there's a 5K next weekend near me. Charlton 5K. Small crowd. Dirt road. A small hill out and down hill back. :)

though it may not be as fast as you hoped for, there are many people (myself included) that would kill for a time that fast...

I agree with all the comments - you are still fast. Get back out there soon and you will rock it!

Focus on the good. We set goals to push ourselves. I just missed a goal too, and now I realize the journey is the destination, and there will be another day and race. It's all good.

That's a great time, but I know it's disappointing to not make a goal. At least you can still keep working towards that time before sitting a new faster goal! (Because you'll definitely reach your goal time and then want to go faster!)

Not slow, just not you goal. Look forward to reading your report. Glad your chin is up.

I can't wait to start doing some 5K's..

Definitely NOT slow...sorry it wasn't what you hoped for, but you still did great.
